Traveling the world and using magic to help people is 

the raison d'être and greatest honor of a witch - this is called the "Witch's Law” and is the rule that women born with magical powers must follow.

They stay in one town for a while and after serving the people, they go again to the next town.

Witches born with magical abilities continue to travel the world throughout their lives.

Liz, an apprentice witch living in the small village of Selene, receives daily instruction in magic from her mother and master witch Aletta in order to become a full-fledged witch.

When Liz passes the final witch apprentice exam imposed by Aletta, she becomes a full-fledged witch and leaves the village to travel the world under the "Witch's Law”.
