Set in a world where humanity coexists with supernatural entities, the story centers on Satoru Takahashi, who inherits his late father's apartment building reserved exclusively for youkai tenants. Satoru soon develops an intense attraction to a resident yuki-onna named Yukino, but an unexpected dispute fractures their fragile connection and drives a wedge between them. While searching for a way to fix things, Takahashi stumbles upon an enigmatic box containing a strange ring with instructions claiming it can subjugate the mind of any youkai in sight by channeling the wearer's pure desire. Skeptical yet curious, Satoru reveals the ring during a desperate attempt to talk to Yukino, witnessing firsthand its terrifying hypnotic potential and leaving him at a dark crossroads between genuinely rebuilding their romance or surrendering to primitive carnal lust.
